Tech Time Report

Each week you should receive a tech time report from HQ. This report is designed to help you identify how your technicians are spending their time so that you can keep them on a profitable track. Each technician should be completing at least 25 hours of TECH LABOR per week to be considered profitable. Things that detract from this are excessive SHOP and/or TRAVEL times.  If you have technicians charging out less than 62.5% of their time, it is your responsibility to find out why and get them back on course for success.

Possible Reasons for Low Labor Hours
* Are they spending too much time traveling between sites? Are techs taking longer routes than they should or making unnecessary stops?
* Do they take too long gathering parts in the shop? Are techs dragging their feet or socializing instead of getting out the door?
